Jewellery for Christmas

Winter is here, Christmas is right around the corner and that means a lot of confusion about gifts for our loved ones. Jewellery is the perfect gift for any occasion, because well, where would we be without our jewellery? But then there is so much to choose from that one tends to get confused! Is this piece too Christmas-y? Is it Christmas-y enough? All these questions!

Christmas jewellery can be anything – a pendant, a pair of earrings, scarves, bracelets, belts, a brooch, a pin or a variety of other things.

My go to Christmas jewellery would be something related to snowflakes and all things winter. When someone says snowflake jewellery or winter jewellery most people usually think of a pendant or a pair of earrings shaped like a snowflake. It doesn’t necessarily have to be that, it could be a charm bracelet or a nose pin even! Snowflake jewellery can also mean colours that remind you of snow or winter or designs like this one.

Or even this one-

There are so many elements of Christmas that we can draw inspiration from for jewellery ideas. For example, Christmas lights, gingerbread men, Santa Claus, Christmas tree, Reindeers, sledges, mistletoes, angels and so many more like this one-

But Christmas jewellery doesn’t always mean that it has to be some kind of a physical manifestation of Christmas. It can be something that reminds one of Christmas or an ideal of Christmas like love and giving and wonder and charity or anything that makes one happy or even a memory shared with the person you are gifting.

Here’s the perfect example of what I’m talking about-

Or maybe even this –

Don’t they remind you of Christmas lights?

Of course you have to keep in mind who you’re getting or buying a gift for (as always), when you start exploring all these options. They may not like Christmas themed gifts.

Well, no worries. There is no such thing like a right or wrong, appropriate or inappropriate Christmas gift. If they like books give them something bookish, if they like the ocean give them something related to ocean like an aquatic charm bracelet and the list goes on.

Even something as random as this –

The most important thing to do while shopping for Christmas gifts is to remember that Christmas is about joy and not following a theme.
